Mill Valley, Orange

My bro and I rode to Mill Valley. After riding off a couple curbs his handlebars were loose.
I didn't have an allen wrench so the Whole Foods bike station came to the rescue!

Tools, pump, and a stand!

Later in the day I did some wrenching to get my new 29er running smooth.

Giant wheels and Giants' colors.

I converted my commuter bike into a road bike for the summer.

To test out the changes I spun out through Bolinas-Fairfax Rd to Ridgecrest Blvd.

High above the foggy ocean, the scenes resemble flying in an airplane over clouds.

After the Pan Toll Station that fog made for a chilly descent into Tam Valley.

Approximately 36 miles in 2.5 hours. Google map.

Jan Gehl has worked in Copenhagen, Melbourne, New York City, and London.

Here are some of his great insights on "cities for people."

A city street designed for people that accommodates cars, not the other way around.

A lock is a deterrent, all locks can be broken (some easier than others).

My favorite bike theft video .

Here's a tribute to my Redline Monocog that was stolen today.

John McLeod from McLeodFX has volunteered to rebuild our rodeo!

Sparks and sawdust flew as the props and the trailer underwent major renovation.

Coast View Trail

School is no longer in session which means summer for me.

As I climbed up Tam I wondered when my last ride was.
The body said it was too long ago.

From the south side of Tam I flew down the ridge towards the ocean.

Gwinn Win

Aaron Gwinn had a fantastic run in Austria today that ended in another victory.

Despite the amazing times from defending champions Greg Minaar and Gee Atherton, Gwinn managed an unbelievable shake-up of the top 3 this year.

To celebrate my bro's B-day we went to SF.

After a ferry ride filled with Giants fans, we rode home along the bay.

It was quite windy today which made crossing Golden Gate Bridge extra exciting.

Happy Birthday!

We plan bike rides, mother nature has other plans. Rain? Really?

I was reading that Copenhagen bicycle blog. It featured a story on former mayor of Bogota Enrique Penalosa. He commented that wildlife is sometimes provided safe places to cross roads while humans often lack these facilities.

Vehicular roads are dangerous to animals, enter wildlife crossings.
